Promising young stallion Proisir will have his first stakes contender when Harlow takes a step up in class later this month.

The Rich Hill Stud stallion has only had six runners and she credited nhim with his second winner today.

Harlow turned in a stunning performance at Te Rapa where she came from last on the turn to score with ease.

“The stock of Proisir look quite exciting and this filly has got a lot of presence about her,” trainer Jamie Richards said.

“She’ll go on to the Matamata Breeders’ S. in a fortnight. She’s got it all in front of her.”

Harlow is a grand-daughter of the stakes winner Joan’s Best and the family of the Gr.1 WA Derby winner Markus Maximus.

“We really like her and she did trial well,” Richards said.

“She’s got a beautiful frame and a bit of maturing to do yet.”

Rider Matt Cameron said the plan was always to drop Harlow to the tail of the field.

“We let her find her feet and she did well to pick them up, she really found the line.”

Proisir was represented by his first winner when Tappy’s One bolted in a Tauranga last month.
