Pentire 3YO's impress at Avondale

The late Pentire produced a couple of promising three-year-olds at Avondale today and both well worth following.

Penteverest (pictured) had finished runner-up at his previous appearance and he went one better in style.

A Rich Hill Stud graduate, Penteverest trained by Ken Kelso and regarded as a smart progressive horse to follow this season. He is raced by Sir Peter Vela and former champion trainer Laurie Laxon.

Penteverest is out of Pennies In Heaven and is a half-brother to the stakes winners Single Currently and Super Jockey. It is also the family of the Group One winners Courtza, Critic, Ocean Park and Prince Kaapstad.

Pentire's daughter Kylie Bax also created a good impression when runner-up on debut.

The Jamie Richards-trained filly is out of Platinum Blond and is a sister to the Group Three winner Entirely Platinum.

She is also a half-sister to another Group Three winner in Foxy Blonde.

The family also feature's Penny Gem, Pentire's Gr.1 Captain Cook Stakes-winning daughter.
