Axiomatic has a family reputation to live up to and the filly has shown she is on the way with a strong win at Warwick Farm.
The Chris Waller-trained three-year-old is a half-sister to Pentire's dual New Zealand Group One winner Xtravagant and multiple Group One placegetter He's Remarkable.
Axiomatic was sent out the $2.20 favourite in yesterday's 1600-metre race for three-year-olds on the strength of a runaway win at Kembla Grange on December 10. She finished strongly from back in the field to beat Gothenburg ($11) by a length, moving Waller to predict better races ahead in the autumn and winter.
"The last 100 metres certainly showed her class," Waller told Sky Thoroughbred Central. "I think she's got the makings of a really nice middle-distance horse. She's got a lovely long, loping action, gets her head down low and I think that will see her stretch out to 2000 metres.
"He's (Xtravagant) obviously the pin-up boy from New Zealand at the moment and I think she's well on the way to doing some of those things herself."
Axiomatic, who is owned by Alan Osburg of Torryburn Stud, is by multiple New Zealand champion sire, the late O'Reilly, while her two famous siblings are by Pentire, sire of 2015 Melbourne Cup winner Prince Of Penzance.
Xtravagant is gearing up for a return to racing in next month's Gr. 1 Telegraph at Trentham, while He's Remarkable now stands at Mapperley Stud.
Trained by Roger James, He's Remarkable was relegated to second in the 2011 Gr. 1 Railway Stakes in Perth after a controversial protest.

Rich Hill Director Alan Galbraith bred and sold the siblings, who are out of his Zabeel mare Axiom and have each done Rich Hill Stud proud.
Rich Hill sold Axiomatic for A$300,000 at the 2015 Sydney Easter Sale, half-sister and five-time winner Fashion Black (Bertolini) at Karaka in 2008 for $95,000, and the following year He's Remarkable made $360,000 to the bid of Cambridge trainer Roger James. He subsequently prepared him to win six races, including the Gr.3 Newmarket Handicap and he was a three-time Group One placegetter.
Rich Hill later sold his brother Xavi, a subsequent multiple winner, for $180,000 to Melbourne trainer Danny O'Brien and in 2014 his brother Xtravagant made $375,000. He has so far won the Gr.1 NZ 2000 Guineas and the Gr.1 NRM Sprint for Te Akau Racing.
