Stud Graduate Runs Hot In Hong Kong
Wrath Of Fire continued his excellent run of form in Hong Kong when the four-year-old was again successful at Sha Tin last night. The Rich Hill Stud graduate now has three wins and two placings from his last five appearances.
A gelded son of former stud resident Bahhare, he is trained by Derek Cruz and was ridden to victory over 1800 metres by Gerald Mosse. A $36,000 weanling purchase at Karaka, he began his career in New Zealand and racing as Saint Agata who placed in the Gr 2 Wakefield Challenge Stakes from a handful of appearances.
He is a half-brother to three winners, including the ill-fated Pesciolini, with the dam Pesky an unraced daughter of Paris House. It is the family of the Gr 1 New Zealand Thoroughbred Breeders’ Stakes winner Special Mission and current black-type sprinter Undisclosed.
